Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing 2008 - We Build a Better WorldGH2000 | GH2002 | GH2004 | GH2006 | GH2008 The Grace Hopper Celebration - We Build a Better World*** Photos 2008 *** The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing 2008 was held in Keystone Resort, Colorado, October 1-4. The theme for 2008 was "We Build a Better World" Women@SCS presented a panel at Grace Hopper 2008 based on the OurCS conference . The panel discussed objectives and outcomes of this first-of-its-kind research focused conference for undergraduate women in computer science, developed through the collaboration of Carnegie Mellon and Microsoft Research. Students discussed their overall experiences and presented one of the research projects. They also presented survey data and discussed the role of graduates, and keynote speakers, in providing advice on graduate school.
